Ware is a thriving traditional market town, one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in Europe; it is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
It is about 20 miles north of London and is the gateway to the open Hertfordshire countryside and some delightful villages.
Ware is served by trains from Hertford East directly to London Liverpool Street, and to Stansted Airport, Cambridge and beyond with a change at Broxbourne.
The county town of Hertford is close by, and can be easily reached by car, train & bus, or by a relatively easy walk along the River Lea Navigation. Harlow and Bishops Stortford by road and rail, Stevenage and Welwyn Garden City with trains on the East Coast Main Line are a short drive away.
